World's 'largest' 3D metal printer launches in Australia

2018-05-16T15:00:08+0000

Titanium powder particles are accelerated to supersonic speeds – about a kilometre a second – before being sprayed by a robot onto a scaffold where they slam together so hard they fuse solid.

The only thing bigger than Titomic’s new 3D metal printer – allegedly the world’s largest – is the scale of this startup’s ambitions.

I hope the professor suggests people use turmeric in cooking because tablets are absolutely useless and a waste of money. They did tests in England and found no difference when tablets were taken but benefits when people cooked with turmeric. Plus, willow bark is dangerous for people with liver problems, breast feeding and many other issues.

After hearing today that chemists want the pill and viagra to be over the counter medicines after NUROFEN PLUS was taken away and now costs 3 times the amount plus a doctors visit, I am disgusted! The pill and viagra can have serious side effects and yet a pain reliever for people IN PAIN, is removed! What exactly are our politicians doing!

Energy healing has been around for a very long time, call it Energy healing, Reiki, Pranic there are many forms used through the years. Go Charlie, there are people who believe in you and what you do, if you can help people heal and stop their suffering without drugs bonus. To all the doubters, don't knock it until you try, but do so with an open mind! Namaste

I have a story you might like to run motor registration within Adelaide is double the price to that of Melbourne - really you should do a story on it cause everyone in SA who has a vehicle pays motor registration fees and the price is absurd

Lots of interstates security staff were called for at short notice due too local firms pulling the pin

All those wonderful selfless people😊

We were there....dressed in our orange uniforms. I would have loved to see more vollies attend, but I suppose many needed to be at work or lived too far away. I'd like to say a BIG thank you to all the volunteers manning the barbeques, the day was for them too, yet they were still working.

Thank you SAPOL . Keep up the good work around the community. I’m very proud of you guys.💙💙.

Thanks to all volunteers!

I was one of the many volunteers out there today. Representing the organization I volunteer with - Conservation Volunteers 🙂

What’s happening on Henley Beach Road? There’s a huge traffic jam!

Wonderful work

Sending a shout to the hard working motorsport marshals who are out there at their flagpoints, no matter the weather, just metres away from danger, keeping the racing fair and the drivers and public (and each other) safe. Legends one and all.

#thankyou #SAvolunteer Great to see you all @ the Parade!

If you received a call out of the blue from the Tax Office saying you had a tax debt that you had to pay immediately or be arrested, what would you think? If Telstra called you and said there were internet problems in your area and they needed remote access to your computer in order to help you otherwise they would disconnect your service, what would you do?
While it would be understandable if your initial reaction was fear or panic, this Scams Awareness Week, Australians are being urged to ‘Stop and check – is this for real?’
These calls are examples of threat-based impersonation scams about which the ACCC’s Scamwatch received almost 33,000 reports in 2017. About 85 per cent of these reports indicated the scammer had been in contact by telephone.
In these scams, scammers pretend to be from a government agency or well-known, trusted business and they use threats to pressure or scare you into giving them money or your personal information. They may threaten you with fines, disconnecting your internet, arrest, court action or even deportation.
The scammers and their threats can seem genuine and frightening. They make you feel as if you’ve done something wrong or that there’s some urgency and you must do what they say immediately or suffer the consequences.
And many people have believed these threats. According to Scamwatch, more than $4.7 million was reported lost and more than 2800 people gave their personal information to these scammers in 2017.
If you’re contacted unexpectedly and threatened by someone that says they’re from a government agency or trusted business, always consider the possibility that it may be a scam – then stop and check if it’s for real.
For more tips and information about these scams, where to get help or to report a scam, visit the Scamwatch website (www.scamwatch.gov.au/scamsweek2018).

Honestly how are people still falling for this.

Neelam Mahat

Honestly, I just mess around with them.

Yep had the Telstra one last week at 11pm, told him I didn't believe him, boy did I get told what to do lol

Scam

I was called a while ago by a computer voice saying I will be arrested due to tax fraud. I straight away called ATO and asked wtf was going on, I havent done anything. They said the taxation office never calls using an eletronic voice. So I gave them the number that it came from and the scammers were tracked to Sydney and later arrested themselves lol

George Briggs

I would say yr dreaming.....im 102

Jess

Smiljana Fitzpatrick

With the current state of telstra service, you'd be lucky if anyone called...

Yep, had a call from Microsoft and Telstra...told them that I don't have a computer, they can't hang up fast enough.

I had one supposedly from the tax office and the bloke said I was going to get a refund and he needed my bank details. I laughed and laughed. He said "Why you laugh, Ma'am". I said if the ATO had a refund for me they would just put it in the bank. They wouldn't ring and tell me. If I owed money, as is often the case with our quarterly BAS I would still laugh and say - I will talk to my Accountant. That's probably a good answer for anyone whether they have their own accountant or not. Then just hang up.

There all scammers. Telstra, tax man etc does not ring you about stuff they might only send you a letter. I actually do not answer my phone any more between 8 and about 6.30 as I am so sick of these idiots, Do not call does not seem to apply to any of them.

Angela Kraft

Yep had the jail threat one and happily agreed about the jail time and I would forward to a break from the kids. They never called me again

Hello Hello Hello Hello tap the phone then hang up if they ring again do the same again and again

Tayla Brown

I play dumb then gve them a full blast of my netball whistle, really upsets them for some reason.

I don't answer the landline at all, only have the landline for alarm monitoring. And I have scam alert on my mobile

Sandy Oakes probably what it was

Or that classic that you have been in a car accident

Would think.... SCAMS ! 😈

If its a unknown number like overseas it's automatically blocked the phone will ring then its blocked

omg!` desecrating cemetries thats terrible!

Low life check the scrap yards

Ratbags

A large ceramic unicorn recently went missing from my daughter's grave there. I will report to police 😢😭 Edit: I was just hoping that it had perhaps blown off and got smashed, not that somebody would be so horrible as to steal it from the grave of a little girl. I wrote Mummy loves you on the bottom too, it's not like anyone else could use it!! 😭 Really sad to think it has happened to more than one family.

Sye Warnes

Its so pathetic ,why would anyone steal from a grave !!!

What low life’s

Cretins :(

Yes, we have had metal lanterns disappear from my late fathers gravesite and metal items were also taken from the man that is buried next to him. Scrap metal thieves are getting pretty low and desperate.

You can't get any lower than that, low lives!!!!

Disgraceful!

Thats so disgraceful

Are there pictures of these items so we can keep an eye out for them.

Disgusting behaviour.

Disgraceful parasites, no conscience, no respect, no morals!.. Real shame jobs.

How despicable.

It's a disgrace, as it is when your loved ones are sick you are continually fighting for their dignity, once they have passed away they should be left to rest in peace...I think anyone caught stealing or desecrating a grave should be heavily punished...

There is not much lower you can go - thieves!👹

Metal inserted in humans at hospitals are next!

People suck... unbelievable

So wrong makes me angry. I know when my mums grave was smashed, no phone call to say what happened so i was very upset to go and find it smashed up. The female was caught and let of without being charged. The police told me she had a bad life and was let of under the mental health act.

Athena Athena

SHOCKING..... absolutely no respect

Absolutely disgusting ....i hope who took them rots in hell the rougues
