Sick of seeing plastic-wrapped oranges? Tell Woolworths and Coles to #breakfreefromplastic: act.gp/end-plastic

Saw this today in my local Woolworths. How ridiculous.

Yes! This is what we need. Thank you, Greenpeace!

Done & can someone tell me why people put bananas in plastic bags? Annoys the hell out me & our local Coles have handy bags either side of the bananas. WHY?!?

All pointless til you ban all plastic they everywhere in what you buy. Table Magarine, Shampoo, Dish Washing Liquid, Cordial Bottles, Soft drink Bottle, Milk Bottle, Cheese Slices, Snack Bars etc.

Unnecessary and ridiculous... always choose the loose fruit items and place them in your trolley. Still can’t buy loose berries though

Please can we just stop manufacturing plastic! Period.

Do not purchase fruit or vegetables wrapped in plastic....

There are companies making timber from recycled plastics

Why doesn’t all plastic packaging get phased out over the next decade ?

I’m with you

No ANZAC Biscuits at Gallipoli.

The origins of that great Australian institution the ANZAC biscuit are unknown and they were not in soldiers’ rations during the Great War, says academic Dr Matthew Bailey.

There was, however, a biscuit based on rolled oats, sugar, flour and butter that was popular at the time. Its magic ingredient was golden syrup which replaced eggs as the binding agent. This produced not only a tasty and nutritious biscuit but one that could last a long time.

Some families may have sent the treat to their loved ones abroad, but it was not until after the war that these biscuits gained the moniker “ANZAC” and began to be commercially made. Since that time Australian troops abroad have enjoyed ANZAC biscuits, either in ration packs or courtesy of parcels from home.

We should also remember that like pavlova and Russell Crowe, New Zealanders also make a claim for the ANZAC Biscuit!

Congrats BNE!

Looks like a big NZ - as a Kiwi I approve...hahahaha

1 photo only not good enough. A few shots of the new extension would have been better.

Shelley fancy a bit of modern art before we fly out? 😉

Congrats BNE
