North Korea may reconsider Trump summit if denuclearisation 'unilateral'

"If we are pushed to the corner and are forced on one-sided-only nuclear abandonment, we will not be interested in such dialogue."

North Korea said it may reconsider holding a summit with the United States if Washington continues to unilaterally insist that the Kim regime gives up its nuclear program.

Join us to launch our new exhibition "Animals in Ancient Cultures" a student-led project in conjunction with Macquarie University’s Professional and Community Engagement Program.

We spoke to Dr Linda Evans from the Department of Ancient History about what will be seen at the upcoming exhibition.

"The Animals in Ancient Cultures exhibition will showcase the crucial role that animals played in the lives of past societies," Dr Evans says.

"A range of animal-themed artefacts, such as coins, lamps, amulets, figurines, decorated vases, and Egyptian tomb paintings derived from the ancient Mediterranean region and Near East as well as indigenous Australia, will show how our relationship with animals has enabled human cultures to survive and develop. Lovers of archaeology or animals - or both - will find plenty in the exhibition to fascinate and intrigue!"

I hope the professor suggests people use turmeric in cooking because tablets are absolutely useless and a waste of money. They did tests in England and found no difference when tablets were taken but benefits when people cooked with turmeric. Plus, willow bark is dangerous for people with liver problems, breast feeding and many other issues.

After hearing today that chemists want the pill and viagra to be over the counter medicines after NUROFEN PLUS was taken away and now costs 3 times the amount plus a doctors visit, I am disgusted! The pill and viagra can have serious side effects and yet a pain reliever for people IN PAIN, is removed! What exactly are our politicians doing!

Macquarie University takes out the University BioQuest Champion Identifiers Team Trophy!

During April, the Macquarie University team participated in the University BioQuest, a competition between universities to locate and identify plants and animals on and around campus. In addition to coming first for species identifications, the Macquarie University team placed 4th for the number of species spotted!

Jenny Donald also scored the top individual species sightings for the Eastern Bristlebird, which is listed as endangered under State and Commonwealth legislation.

There were 27 members of the Macquarie University team. Our thanks to all who contributed, but special mention must be made to our top spotter and identifier, Banksia (aka Associate Professor Jenny Donald), and our other top players Josie Kirkwood and Kawsar (aka Kawsar Khan).
