'Gnarly' was recently brought into the Visitor Centre at Innes National Park after being found next to her mother who had sadly passed away. She was so sick that staff didn't think she would make it, but it looks like Ranger Mark has the magic touch with the bottle and she is feeding on the Wombaroo (a lactose-free supplement) with gusto! The joey has been named ‘Gnarly’, due to her tendency to bite the hand that feeds her. Thanks to the Natural Resources Northern and Yorke staff for caring for her. The joey was so sick that staff didn’t think she would survive, but after some initial coaxing and persuasion by Ranger in Charge, Mark Davison, the little kangaroo suckled the Wombaroo (a lactose-free supplement) with gusto! Landscape Ranger Jasmine was also able to give her a vitamin injection.

The joey has been named ‘Gnarly’, due to her tendency to bite the hand that feeds her. Beth from the Visitor Information Centre is now caring for ‘Gnarly’ at her property, where she has settled in nicely and is doing very well.
